ABOUT BALANCED ARTS TAI CHI
Balanced Arts Tai Chi teaches traditional and modified Tai Chi with an emphasis on emotional well-being and mental health. As a proven, time-tested, and scientifically backed practice, Balanced Arts Tai Chi leverages the benefits naturally produced by Tai Chi’s meditative and mindful foundations.
In Balanced Arts Tai Chi classes, students learn and practice seated, standing, and walking forms—simple yet dynamic exercises for physical health and emotional self-care. Clients and students typically adopt Tai Chi into their wellness regimen for stress management, nervous system regulation, and
emotional healing.
Tai Chi’s gentle, low impact mind and body exercises incorporate graceful, relaxing movements that help realign physical, mental, and emotional balance. In Balanced Arts Tai Chi, students learn self-care via a four-step pathway:
1. Calming
2. Grounding
3. Letting Go
4. Creating

ABOUT BALANCED ARTS SELF-DEFENSE CLASSES
Balanced Arts takes a practical approach to helping you learn to defend yourself regardless of size or stature. Situational awareness, along with basic human anatomy, are taught in a pragmatic and functional way. Traditional boxing, along with effective martial arts kicks, blocks, and locks, make up the class curriculum. Participants learn how to:

Increase situational awareness and recognize potential threats

Use verbal de-escalation and boundary-setting techniques

Escape common grabs and holds

Defend against attacks using leverage and body mechanics

Develop confidence, quick decision-making, and street-smart safety habits
The class emphasizes prevention, avoidance, and practical safety-first strategies. No prior experience is required.
