About Balanced Arts Tai Chi
Balanced Arts Tai Chi teaches traditional and modified Tai Chi with an emphasis on emotional well-being and mental health. As a proven, time-tested, and scientifically backed practice, Balanced Arts Tai Chi leverages the benefits naturally produced by Tai Chi’s meditative and mindful foundations.
In Balanced Arts Tai Chi classes, students learn and practice seated, standing, and walking forms—simple yet dynamic exercises for physical health and emotional self-care. Clients and students typically adopt Tai Chi into their wellness regimen for stress management, nervous system regulation, and
emotional healing.
Tai Chi’s gentle, low impact mind and body exercises incorporate graceful, relaxing movements that help realign physical, mental, and emotional balance. In Balanced Arts Tai Chi, students learn self-care via a four-step pathway:
1. Calming
2. Grounding
3. Letting Go
4. Creating
TAI CHI WORKSHOPS
Balanced Arts Tai Chi Workshops focus in on specific topics and focused learning areas. In the upcoming February Tai Chi workshop (Saturday, 2/28/26), we will explore the 24 Form and the "Push Hands" peer-to-peer partner exercise. If you've taken a few Tai Chi classes and learned the foundations of Tai Chi breathing, walking, and basic movements, you will enjoy this workshop's sneak peek at "what's next" for the Tai Chi practitioner. Hone your technique or learn more advanced movements. This workshop can help anyone that has taken at least one Tai Chi class.

Self-Defense Classes
Self-Defense by Balanced Arts are bootcamp-style classes that take a practical approach to getting you into shape and learning to defend yourself. Fitness and endurance are stressed as students prepare themselves for street-smart combat. Traditional western boxing, along with effective eastern martial arts kicks, blocks, and locks, make up the class curriculum.
